Nelson's newest dining experience, Eight Plates opened in April 2023, under the ownership of Pete Coates, the previous long-time bar manager of Nelson favourites; Cod & Lobster and Mama Cod.

Famous for his award-winning cocktails, knowledge of cocktail history & tidbits and wine cellar, Pete has built a team of talented chefs and friendly servers to create Eight Plates, specialising in seasonal sharing-plates, exceptional drinks and a smart-casual fine dining experience.

With 2 outdoor al fresco areas, upstairs dining with a view of the Cathedral, private rooms for groups and conferences, and regular events, Eight Plates is the place to be in Nelson this year!
